Fabulous Book!

What a wonderful book! As a mother and teacher, I could not recommend a book more. Not only does my daughter love it, but it teaches wonderful lessons, starts great conversations and even teaches adults about their own regulation! Beautiful book for everyone!

This book 😍

I bought this book because we have had some major meltdowns about boundaries I place. I parent alone all the time because my partner is in the military and some days it just feels like me vs the toddler. I was hesitant at first because I thought this might just lead to a meltdown about wanting a popsicle to be honest. My 2.5 year old is OBSESSED with this book. The first thing he does is points to all the beautiful popsicles on the inside cover and expresses his desire for them. And then we read the book. He was spellbound the first time. It was like someone was speaking his language. The wheels turning and the empathy in his eyes were a thing to behold. The illustrations are darling and the emotions of little Eden are so obvious. The story is short but brilliantly on point. I love how daddy takes a deep breath. It’s such a good chance for me to talk about my feelings when my boy is having a hard time and how sometimes I need to calm down too. It lets me talk about the times I forget to breathe and I end up yelling and how that’s not how I want to react. I love the talk about how it’s ok to have the feelings we love you no matter what. It’s a masterpiece. I will be back for everything you write. I love a good SEL book but my kid isn’t always on board but this one has us both in love. We have had it a week and he asks for it at all hours. Every time he sees it he picks it up and hands it to me and sits in my lap. He “reads” it himself and hearing his understanding of the story is so darling. Thank you ❤️ you’re great.
